jeez louise!!

i've now spent 2.five weeks in denver. i've visited 7.2 pubs, seen 2 rockies games, 1 outlaws game, 1 nuggets game, and 1 mammoth game. on top of that, i just purchased tickets to see Tool on the 30th, and last night i won tickets at the bar to see G Love and Special Sauce next friday. pretty sure this city kicks some tail. well done, career, well done.

ahh, denver, the sunshine state

i am officially living in my new dojo in denver, co. living quarters are more than adequate. i'm 10 mins from Red Rocks, 30-45 mins from the rockies and major ski/bike resorts, and on top of that, i am now living in an actual city. things to do, places/people to see every night, and the lack of oxygen is making me slightly euphoric. this should be the last move for quite a while, and i believe that i might actually be able to "settle down".... gasp!

sweet mother of zeus!!

contrary to popular belief, girls know what the crap they are doing!!! my sister and mother got me a gift certificate to a spa here in town for my birthday a while back. i finally used said gift this morning, and dear lord it was phenomenal. at the spa i was introduced to an exceptionally majestic being named kim who somehow found and relaxed every muscle in my body. did you know there are 20 muscles in each foot?!!? i'm melting into every chair i sit in now. 3 hours of massage, facial, and exfoliation.... pure ecstasy.

things that vex me #971 & #47

#971 - people who constantly interrupt you while you are talking.

i like to tell stories of my adventures, and i create humor in these stories by adding a lot of detail, imagery, similies, metaphors etc. sorry but my recollection of thoughts, therefore, can be longer than a 2 year old's attention span. several people have aggravated me lately by barging in with their own oral filth while i'm in the middle of a sentence many times during one conversation. i don't mind if you break my stride if you have a question about what it is i am saying, but otherwise wait your turn!

#47 - people who breathe through their nose

can't stand it. it's whistley, noisy, and obnoxious. what could possibly be wrong with your throat and/or mouth that the air is blocked from flowing through them. fluid dynamics 101 - a flowing fluid and/or gas will follow the path of least resistance. the mouth provides a much larger flow area, and therefore an easier path for your hot air. what the crap is it doing being forced through your nose, making all sorts of noise and annoying the crap out of me!?!?

vacation kicked!

2 weeks of visiting friends, drinking, mischief, hungover driving, and rock and roll are finally over. i'm pretty sure that i don't need to drink another yuengling for at least a month. i put 1476 miles on the rental car and saw 43 friends and family, some of whom i had not seen in 7 years. good times, great oldies. i just need another vacation now to recover.....
